Given that hordes of Milanese commute to Ticino and vice versa and that, uh, Italian is one of Switzerland&#8217;s official languages, this point to paint the Italian as &#8216;other&#8217; seems particularly desperate.  <a title=\"Swiss portray Italians as rats\" href=\"http:\/\/www.corriere.it\/International\/english\/articoli\/2010\/09\/29\/stella-insulting-swiss-attack-italian-workers.shtml\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Corriere<\/em> has good coverage in English<\/a>, although the article suffers a bit from some self-pity.
